Amrit Cement had been pouring foundations across North-East India since 2008. Award-winning quality. 800+ dealer network. The kind of credibility that takes a decade to earn. But if you searched for them, scrolled their feed, or landed on their site none of that came through. The brand was operating at full capacity offline and near-zero online. Founded by first-generation entrepreneurs in Meghalaya, Amrit Cement had built one of the most respected regional cement operations in the country. What they hadn’t built was a way for that reputation to exist digitally. And in a category where even B2B buyers now Google before they call that gap was becoming expensive

Our market research confirmed what we suspected: the competitive landscape wasn’t just about price and quality anymore. It was about visibility, consistency, and credibility across digital touchpoints. Amrit Cement had the product. They didn’t have the presence. Younger decision-makers builders, architects, contractors were defaulting to brands they could find, not necessarily brands they trusted more.

The Strategic Call

This wasn’t a “run our socials” brief. We approached Amrit Cement as a brand transformation problem. The question wasn’t “what should we post?” It was: how do we build a connected system where every touchpoint social, search, website, messaging, paid, reputation works as one machine?

We designed a four-pillar framework: Brand Perception (how people see you), Digital Infrastructure (where people find you), Demand Generation (how people reach you), and Engagement & Trust-Building (why people stay with you). The Social Rebuild

Social media for a cement brand isn’t about going viral. It’s about being consistently present where decision-makers scroll. We repositioned Amrit Cement’s social from a dormant channel to a structured platform balancing product credibility, industry relevance, educational storytelling, and brand recall. April 2024 through March 2025. A full twelve months of planned, produced, published content across Instagram and Facebook. Not filler structured content designed to make Amrit Cement the most visible cement brand in their feed. Every post served the strategy. Every month built on the last.

Try making cement relatable. That was the brief we gave ourselves. The answer was Joe, a custom-designed character who could simplify technical messaging, increase engagement, and give the brand an ownable visual asset that no competitor could replicate.

Joe became the connective tissue across formats. Campaign videos, instructional explainers, animated shorts all anchored by a character that audiences could recognise and return to. We produced three distinct video formats: brand campaign films for emotional equity, instructional/training videos for dealer and contractor education, and animated content for social engagement. Joe tied all of it together. In a category where every brand looks the same, we gave Amrit Cement a face.

Passive content has a ceiling. To break through, we introduced interactive formats an Instagram AR filter and a gamified experience that turned audience attention into audience participation.

The filter and game increased time spent with the brand, encouraged organic sharing, and generated engagement that static posts never could. It also made a statement: this is not the cement brand your father defaults to. This is a brand that knows where its next generation of buyers lives. The filter ran as a story highlight a persistent, re-discoverable brand experience sitting on the profile long after campaigns ended.
